Pixel Art: Ascending the Darkness

People don't seem to really care for this particular character of mine as much as the others, but I often like using him for my more... emotional artwork.

This was made to symbolize how I look at my own spriting.

Fair warning, I this is going to seem like the rantings of an absolute lunatic, so...yeah...

I see my mind as an insanely dark and unhappy place, and it is for this reason that I actually have a genuine feeling of guilt for "trapping" the many characters I've made within it. I see my spriting, my pixel art, my drawings, and other work as "letting them go" and giving them a fair chance at be somewhere besides my mind, where others can enjoy them. Again, I know; this seems like it's crazy... You know, maybe I am crazy; but this is just how I see it.
