Mario:Retro Re-imagined

I've been a bit off my game when it comes to art as of late (most likely due to some underlying stress issues breaking my concentration) so I decided to do something that would be a little bit simpler than my usual work.

I decided to do some Super Mario Brothers styled sprites from scratch; I've never done this before but it seems fairly easy to get the hang of .
I did make the hat look ever so slightly different in style, but other than that I tried to replicate the original style... maybe some Sonic the Hedgehog influence on the movements, though
